"Profound" Musings
The adrenaline rush has turned to molasses on a cold day. Jet lag is a thing of the past. All the lose ends of life left untended while we were gone which were flapping in the breeze when we got home, are finally tied down, cut off or held in place with cellophane tape, duct tape or are holding their own. The garbage disposal gave out and has been replaced. My brand new washing machine that died after only two loads has also been replaced. We made a quick trip to Dallas to visit Mark and Michele before Mark starts DTS for his second year. It was 108 degrees, and I thought Arkansas was hot!
My brain has been racing across the pages of these past few months, searching thru the events of our trip to Kijabe for something profound -- a profound transformation in me, a profound experience, a profound insight, a profound awareness.
What am I thinking? I'm missing the point. The profoundness comes not in what happened to me or in what I am looking for. The profoundness is in Him -- His work, His Word, His mercy -- the incredible message of His grace.
We were obedient and were privileged by Him to go to Kijabe and teach His Word to outstanding Kenyan young people.
What's profound is that He would choose us for that privilege!
